Sini Virtanen, violinist
Sini Virtanen, violinist, began her studies at the age of five at the Käpylä Music Institute in her native Finland. At 15 she was accepted into the Junior Department of the Sibelius Academy where she did undergraduate studies with Päivyt Meller. She received her Master of Music from the Eastman School of Music in 2009, where she is currently pursuing a doctoral degree with Mikhail Kopelman.

Sini grew up in Helsinki, Finland, and loves the natural beauty of her home country.
Other instrument:
Sini also plays the baroque violin.
Funniest performance memory:
While performing with her piano trio in Finland, she took a bow. As she sat down, the chair below her crashed, and she suddenly found herslef sitting on the floor. Luckily, neither Sini now her instrument were harmed.
